И не друг и не враг, а так...(с)

1 июня начался долгожданный штурм курдами Ракки - сирийской столицы ИГ. И тут же создалась уникальная по своей сути ситуация, когда одна и та же армия оказывает военную поддержку (по большей части авиа, но не только) двум другим армиям против одного и того же противника и все это происходит одновременно! Прекрасная возможность убедиться ху из ху в глазах американского командования - кто друг, кто враг, а кто...

Ряд замечаний:

• штурм Мосула армией бывшего Ирака находится на завершающей фазе, когда курды только начали входить в Ракку и еще не столкнулись с самым ожесточенным сопротивлением
• районы Мосула, все еще контролируемые боевиками ИГ, даже превышают площадь города Ракка
• оказание авиаподдержки невозможно без нахождения корректировщиков на земле
• штурм Мосула ведет коалиция из состава армейских подразделений шиитов Ирака и Ирана, штурм Ракки ведут неррегулярные отряды курдов
• в Ираке у США есть авиабазы, а в Сирии таких баз пока нет, следовательно во втором случае оказание авиаподдержки более затруднительно во всех плоскостях

А теперь сравним. Официальные отчеты МО США за последнюю неделю:

-- Near Raqqah, 20 strikes engaged 12 ISIS tactical units; destroyed seven fighting positions, four vehicles, three ISIS headquarters, a car bomb, and an ISIS-held building; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.
-- Near Mosul, three strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units; destroyed seven fighting positions, three ISIS-held buildings, a command and control node, a car bomb, and a car-bomb staging area; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit and a mortar system.

-- Near Raqqah, 17 strikes engaged 15 ISIS tactical units and destroyed six fighting positions, four vehicles, two ISIS front-end loaders, two ISIS headquarters, an ISIS unmanned aerial vehicle and an ISIS barge.

-- Near Mosul, three strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units; destroyed five fighting positions, two mortar systems, two car bombs, a supply cache, and an explosives cache; and suppressed a mortar team.


12.06
-- Near Raqqa, 23 strikes engaged 20 ISIS tactical units; destroyed 16 fighting positions, two vehicles and two ISIS boats; damaged five ISIS supply routes; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.

-- Near Mosul, four strikes engaged three ISIS tactical units; destroyed five fighting positions, two supply caches, a mortar system, a command-and-control node, an artillery system and a vehicle; and damaged two fighting positions.


13.06
-- Near Raqqa, 22 strikes engaged 20 ISIS tactical units and destroyed 21 fighting positions and four vehicles.

-- Near Mosul, five strikes engaged five ISIS tactical units and destroyed 14 fighting positions, six mortar systems, two sniper positions, a weapons cache and a tactical vehicle.


14.06
-- Near Raqqa, 20 strikes engaged 14 ISIS tactical units; destroyed 12 fighting positions, five vehicles, five ISIS boats, two vehicle-borne bombs, a recoilless rifle, a command-and-control node and a tunnel; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.

-- Near Mosul, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit, destroyed a fighting position and a command-and-control node and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.


15.06
-- Near Raqqa, 11 strikes engaged eight ISIS tactical units; destroyed nine fighting positions, three ISIS boats and a vehicle; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.

-- Near Mosul, three strikes engaged three ISIS tactical units; destroyed seven fighting positions, two tunnels, a mortar system and a medium machine gun; and damaged a fighting position.


16.06
-- Near Raqqa, 20 strikes engaged 14 ISIS tactical units and a sniper and destroyed nine fighting positions, four vehicles, three mortar systems, two supply caches, two ISIS headquarters, a heavy machine gun and a home-made explosives factory.

-- Near Mosul, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit, destroyed a fighting position and damaged a fighting position.


17.06.
-- Near Raqqa, 25 strikes engaged 21 ISIS tactical units and destroyed 34 fighting positions, three tunnels, three mortar systems, two vehicles and a vehicle bomb-making facility.

-- Near Mosul, three strikes engaged three ISIS tactical units; destroyed 15 fighting positions, two supply caches, a mortar team, and a vehicle bomb; damaged seven fighting positions; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.
